Engraving

Engraving is a technology which replaces hand-engraving. Inscriptions, logos, texts, or ornaments are created by removing the given material (milled off). An engraving machine is lead based on a computer design. Brass and plastic are the most common materials into which engraving is performed. This technology can also produce gold stamping dies which are then typically characterized by their long life. Such dies can be applied to difficult materials such as leather or canvas used in the production of books and diaries. Engraving can also be used for the production of blind embossing dies. Blind embossing can be used to create impressive corporate stationery or various ornaments and features for wedding announcements and New Year cards.
